OM EAST’s New Vision Statement:

We want to see God glorified in Eurasia. We focus on serving and strengthening the Church, bringing hope to forgotten peoples and making their needs known.

We will accomplish our vision by the following strategy:

1. Being a voice for the forgotten peoples and the persecuted church.

2. Providing good quality Christian, educational literature and multimedia.

3. Equipping and supplying resources through our local partners to the needy.

4. Facilitating competent training for specific needs.

5. Providing short term emergency help in catastrophe situations.

Since January 1, 2008 we are no longer Operation Mobilization Greater Europe, or OM GE, but have become OM EAST - EurAsia Support Team!

Our old name was a great ministry tool in its day and has given us a great history and heritage. However, we wanted our new name to express our identity and purpose much more clearly.

OM EAST stands for “EurAsia Support Team”.

EurAsia:

New ministry opportunities have opened up, so “EurAsia” expresses our vision much more clearly.

Support:

Our heartbeat is to be a “Support” for other OM teams and missionaries we work with and the Church we are all seeking to build.

Team:

We believe in “Team” as a way to fulfill our calling to build up the body of Christ.Many, many thanks to all who helped to formulate and shape our new identity, name, statutes, vision and strategy statements!

To fulfill our vision we need people:

Right Brain Thinkers (i.e. Creative Types)

You couldxuse your graphic design skills to create book layouts and covers for countries where the total Christian library would fit on one bookshelf.  Use your desktop publishing skills to enter corrections in different alphabets and prepare documents for press.  Use your PR, journalism or writing skills to share what God is doing in EurAsia and be a voice for forgotten peoples you have probably never heard of.  Use your web design skills to keep the world informed of the exciting work being done by OM EAST.

Left Brain Thinkers (i.e. Logical Types)

You couldxuse your accounting/bookkeeping skills to help keep the rest of us on the cutting edge of bringing hope to forgotten peoples by taking care of the financial details.  Use your administrative skills to assist the field leader with correspondence, database management and a variety of other vital functions.  Use your management skills to change the eternities of people in far off countries by raising funds for media projects and communicating with publishers about potential projects.  Use your organization skills to improve the lives of needy people by coordinating aid donations and distributions to Bosnia, Hungary and Slovakia.
